I WON'T BACK DOWN
Crime Doesn't Pay
The article below summarises the discovery of the crime, the criminal investigation which lead to the arrest and latterly the imprisonment of Maria Parsons.
At the Trial on 04 April, Honour Judge Richard Brown said:
“To trick your way to a position to steal money from this vulnerable lady was not only dishonest, it was wicked.
It was a breach of trust of the highest degree in my view.”
Maria Parsons pleaded guilty to all charges and Judge Richard Brown sentenced her to two and a half years imprisonment, adjourning court proceedings until a later date for the POCA hearing, when the court ordered Maria Parsons to pay back the £81,591.14 stolen.
